R&D in focus
The Wärtsilä 31 engine was launched in June. The new generation engine model has significant reduced maintenance requirements, while raising fuel efficiency, fuel flexibility, and operational optimisation to levels beyond anything else currently available.

During 2015, our digital presence was expanded by the launch of Wärtsilä Genius services, a new digital services portfolio, as well as by the acquisition of L-3 Marine Systems International.
